Fish the Hottest Tournament in Town...

The Palm Beach County KDW Classic - hosted by the City of Riviera Beach and the West Palm Beach Fishing Club will take place Saturday, May 31st, at the Riviera Beach Municipal Marina. Our goal remains simple and straightforward: To produce a fun and reasonably priced fishing tournament that stimulates the local marine & fishing industry, helps promote Riviera Beach & Palm Beach County and benefits the marine conservation & educational efforts of the West Palm Beach Fishing Club (WPBFC) and it's charitable affiliate, the Palm Beach County Fishing Foundation (PBCFF). The PBCFF's annual Kid's Fishing Day for underprivileged and at-risk youth and Rods & Reels for Kids are two programs that benefit from tournament proceeds. The WPBFC & PBCFF have been tireless advocates on marine conservation and public access issues and actively support habitat enhancement. The first 200 boats to register will receive a fantastic tournament goodie bucket. The tournament Captain's Kick Off Party, at Bicentennial Park next to Riviera Beach Municipal Marina, will feature food & drink, a raffle, music and a review of tournament rules. The next morning the Palm Beach County KDW Classic will begin at 7:00 am. With the aid of the United States Coast Guard's Lake Worth Inlet Station, the one day tournament will commence with an exciting Bimini start outside the Lake Worth Inlet. Tournament anglers will be vying for over $30,000 in guaranteed cash awards. Additionally, more than $20,000 worth of merchandise will be presented in the tournament raffle, 'Fish Box' and 'Treasure Chest' giveaways. One lucky boat will "Hit the Jackpot!" and win a $2,000 cash award. New this year, we have expanded the wahoo category to eight places. Additionally, we have expanded the Junior Treasure Chest awards to 15 prizes (fifteen $100 bills)! The male and female angler lucky enough to weigh-in the heaviest fish of the tournament will be crowned the King & Queen of the Classic by our presenting sponsor the Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County. While there is no additional cash award for this honor, there will be coveted bragging rights to the title which includes the winners names being added to the perpetual Palm Beach County KDW Classic trophy. We are committed to producing a fun, family-oriented, first class event and invite you to become a part of this local sport fishing tradition. See you on the water! ~ The Tournament Committee

Welcome To Atlantus By The Sea

"On a scale of 1 to 10, Atlantus is an 11"!

We have rented in St. Simons and Sea Island for years and nothing compares to your cottage. You're the Ritz Carlton of beach houses. The Cloister ain't got nothin' on you."Kevin SkedsvoldAttorneySkedsvold and WhiteAtlanta, GA

Welcome to Atlantus!
Completed in September 2002, Atlantus is a breathtaking luxury beach house at Coast Cottages on St. Simons Island - featured in Coastal Living Magazine and home to the Coastal Living Magazine 2003 Idea House.
Finely crafted and appointed with antiques, lime stone fireplaces, Brazilian cherry floors, granite counter tops, Subzero appliances, luxurious personalized bath robes and decorated with a West Indies' flair, Atlantus creates a warm and casual elegance.
Stay for a week or a month at what is perhaps the finest beach house on the island. Walk down the brick paved Coast Cottage Lane past classic beach homes with picket fenced yards, grand porches with rocking chairs and spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean to your luxury vacation home ... Atlantus Cottage!
Rising three stories and some forty-five feet off the sand, Atlantus is a four bedroom home with soaring ceilings, two masters suites, two living rooms and four and one half baths. It sleeps 10. From the moment you step onto the travertine marble foyer and Brazilian cherry floors, you experience the grand scale of this beautiful beach house.
"We have had a fantastic week here at your fabulous home. We watched the July 4th fireworks from the roof deck and they were amazing. Thank you for sharing your incredible home. It is so comfortable here and everything is just beautiful."Dana and Doug SullenbergerAtlanta, GA

FIRST FLOOR
A master bedroom with double vanity bath and monogrammed robes shares the first floor with two other bedrooms. Each has a private marbled tiled bath and jacuzzi tub. A dedicated children's bedroom sleeps four. Children have an open parlor with cable TV and DVD that is flanked by hand carved antique Indonesian columns. This gives the children space away from the upper level adult play areas. A utility room with full size washer, dryer and work space completes this level.

SECOND FLOOR
The second floor houses the great room with library, lime stone fireplace, surround sound theater, gourmet kitchen and dining room. Its twelve foot ceilings create an open, airy interior. There is a grand porch off the front of the house where you can view the Atlantic and feel the ocean breeze. It's a great place to grill out at the day's end and dine with your family under the stars while listening to the ocean waves break on the beach at high tide.

THIRD FLOOR
Walk up to a third floor that is entirely dedicated to a grand master suite complete with lime stone fireplace, two private balconies, marble tiled bath with double vanity, shower with dual heads, huge new technology water massage tub, monogrammed bath robes and an additional washer and dryer. Take your morning coffee from the wet bar on the third floor and sit watching the sun rise over the Atlantic Ocean from your private balconies.
After a day at the beach or golf course, escort your guests with favorite beverage to the roof deck rising over forty-five feet above the Atlantic Ocean. Here you'll be thrilled by views of the ocean, surrounding marsh and rooftops of nearby cottages from this spectacular height. The views are dazzling!

Atlantus Cottage is a place you, your children and friends can create memories that will last a lifetime. Romantic for one couple, spacious for three families, this is a rare and luxurious beach cottage, a peaceful community and a great neighborhood. Please call us with any questions or special needs you may have.

We welcome your inquiry about renting this grand beach house at Coast Cottages!
"Absolutely incredible. Thanks for your help. My family has already decided to make this an annual trip to Atlantus!"

Please Promote Catch and Release fishing

Release Mounts – A Positive Alternative

King Sailfish Mounts, Inc. (KSM) and TBF are proud to announce the launch of a new program in our long-standing Corporate Conservation Partnership that will go a long way towards the goal of rewarding responsible fishing practices. KSM, known for their exceptionally lifelike fish mounts and commitment to conservation, will donate funds, as a conservation dividend from their business, to TBF for each release mount ordered by a captain who is a TBF member. (KSM is creating its own program to give dividends back to TBF member captains ordering release mounts. Contact KSM directly at kingsails@aol.com or 888-SAILFISH.)

Experienced professional captains and mates know that billfish do not have to be killed for an angler to have a beautiful commemorative mount. Novice billfish anglers might be susceptible to false claims that their great fish needs to be killed to create a mount. Any crew engaging in such behavior and bad business practices is contributing to the overfishing of the species upon which they depend for a living.

Anglers on every level should realize that if we participate, we have a responsibility to use the best conservation practices to reduce unnecessary fishing mortality and help sustain fish stocks, fishing opportunities and the future of fishing. Forcing an angler to needlessly kill a sailfish or marlin in order to discourage a case of dockside "buyer’s remorse" over a fish mount is a disgraceful act that insults everyone in the sportfishing community.

Today high seas longline vessels that fish outside of the law are placed on a list and refused fuel, services and catch purchases by many nations. Some have suggested that TBF create such a list of vessels that ignore good conservation practices. Instead TBF and KSM prefer a positive approach by rewarding crews that encourage the conservation ethic.

Captains who would like to join TBF should contact Deborah Cummings by phone at 800-438-8247 or 954-938-0150, ext. 106, or by email at Deborah_Cummings@billfish.org. TBF membership also makes one eligible for TBF’s Annual Tag and Release Awards.TBF is launching new tag and release projects with KSM in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and in Guatemala.

Welcome To Palm Beach Glam Hair

My Journey

It all started when I was two years old, found a pair of scissors and decided to cut my hair. From there I was cutting my dolls hair, my family and friends hair and experimenting with every kind of hair color. I received my cosmetology license in 1989 in New Jersey, and ever since it has been a journey.

Over the past twenty years I received a degree in accounting as well as a Masters in Business Administration (MBA). I have had the pleasure of working in major corporations, but I kept coming back to my first love and passion. I received a cut and color certification from Vidal Sassoon in Santa Monica, California and was a color educator for Schwarzkopf. I worked in the best salons in New Jersey. In 1999 I moved to Palm Beach Gardens and once again pursued an accounting career. Still not living my bliss and finding complete happiness within the accounting world, I once and for all decided to retire and follow my passion. I have embraced my many years in business and beauty, I now can apply it to my own vision.
Over the past years I have been suffering hair loss. While trying to find a solution internally, I decided to get hair extensions. This has changed my life. I once again found my self-esteem return. No longer did I think everyone was looking at my hair and wondering what was wrong with me. Instead I found I was not only receiving compliments on my hair, but most people thought I was much younger as well. I was once again excited when I woke up and looked in the mirror, no more dread of what to do with my hair daily. I knew I had to share this with other women, so I received a certification from Glam Hair Extensions to do their patented method of hair extensions.

Another facet of study that I have enjoyed and found life changing is the healing arts. I have enjoyed studying many aspects of healing modalities and have shared them with many others throughout the years. There is nothing more rewarding than being able to touch a life and see it heal and prosper. See my
Find Your Bliss section for more on this.

I have also been making jewelry with my mother where we have displayed at craft shows and home parties. (see my
Enchanting Crystals section)

With everything I have been gifted to experience I knew it was finally time to fulfill a life- long dream of having my own beauty business. I now know my mission is to help others CONNECT THEIR OUTER BEAUTY WITH THEIR INNER BEAUTY. I truly look forward to the rest of my journey and hope that you may be a part of it.

With much Light and LovePatricia
